One of the greatest fears you face is your death. Some of you are not afraid of dying, but many of you see death as the boogie man and are pretty scared. Don’t let the fear of death keep you from enjoying life today. (When I go Away)
When you’re young, you feel like you can live forever. However, as the years go by, when you watch family and friends die, you realize it is impossible to deny your death as you grow older. In the early years of life, death walks behind you, but there comes a day when death walks ever in front of you. So let me handle your fear and transform it into an eternal hope for living.
You can spend a vast amount of time avoiding and suppressing those deep-seated fears, but they are fruitless. No matter how well you care for your body and work to maintain your physical health, one out of one dies. The good news, even though death is unpredictable, there is no need to fear it. Life is temporary here on earth, and death is the gateway into the permanence of my presence and kingdom. (A Return to the Father)
Death is not the end of life but a crossing over into a new realm of the living. Remember, you are my child, and I liberated you from the absurdity and finality of death.
I tore down the barrier that separates the light from the darkness. The powers of the night that seem to surround you in every detail of life I defeated them by overcoming the power of the grave. Instead of the end, my death proved to be a new beginning for those who trusted in me.
My death on the cross, which appeared to be the end for all humanity, brought complete victory and hope in one supreme moment through the power of the resurrection. So I encourage you not to let the fear of dying cause you to miss out on living life to the fullest now. There is a treasure that lies deep within you; it is the gift of my resurrection power that gives everlasting life and eternal hope through my spirit.
I invite you to come to me with your doubts and fears. In my father’s house there are many rooms. I went there to prepare a place for you, and I will go back and take you to be with me there too. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. Do not be afraid, for I am with you now and forever beyond time. Don’t let the fear of death keep you from enjoying life today.
Scripture:
Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 NIV
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:1-3 NIV
