The silence centers my innermost being on making a home in my heart for the presence of God. It is in the stillness I find I am alive with the awareness of the self-sacrificing love that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have for me. Silence is the sacred space where the Holy Spirit joins our hearts in communion with the resurrected Christ and living God.

Christ inhabits the silence of our hearts and encourages us with an invitation to fellowship with Him no longer distracted by the various thoughts and voices in our heads. He patiently waits for us to become silent and contemplate an inaudible word spoken to us by the Spirit.

As the Heavenly Father spoke to the Son of Man when the Holy Spirit descended upon Him, He speaks to our heart that we are also His beloved daughters and sons, and He is well pleased with us.

Let your mind and heart become silent and listen for the word of God to spring alive and bring hope to your soul.

Scripture:

And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him, I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17 NIV
