Silence, for many, is an undiscovered friend of the tired and restless. It is a sacred place of solitude, bringing peace and comfort from the cares of the world. Its calming effect soothes our souls and produces eternal hope for living. It is the voice that has no description, but it abides within and speaks the love language of God. Silence creates peace in our hearts and offers the awareness of the God who spoke the universe to connect us in the innermost parts of our being. In our minds, we contemplate an eternal relationship with God, and that relationship has always been and always will be.
I am not alone but connected perfectly in union with everyone and everything in silence. I am in tune and in harmony with all that exists, for all that exists is contained in an eternal moment, and in that eternal moment, I am one with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Thus, in the silence, my soul resides forever intertwined in the presence and love of God. (The Stillness of the Heart)
Scripture: John 17:21-22
“I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”
