The light of Christ shines in the darkness, where there appears to be no light. The One who created the day no longer lets the night overpower us with a sense of utter hopelessness. Our doubts and fears let go of their power to punish our souls. The light announces the hope we are never alone or separated from God and our brothers and sisters. Faith supersedes the fear of lingering doubts concerning our loved ones and what will happen to us. The light of Christ illumines a bright future where there is everlasting hope. The resurrected Christ exposes and extinguishes the spirit of the darkness that overshadows our souls. (God is One of Us)

We overcome the night by focusing our awareness on the always-present light of Christ. In your darkest moments, remember to trust and know the light of the dawn always shines again. Our hope is in the living Son who came down from heaven and returned in resurrection glory. No matter how dark the world becomes, the sun will always shine. The light came into the world, and the darkness cannot overcome it — practice in the darkness of the night, opening your eyes and heart to behold the light of Christ with eternal hope beyond all creation. Remember, the darkness never has the last word. (The day God lifted the lid off the Sky)
