I understand the weight of the discouragement you feel when you let yourself and others down. You desire with all your heart to have positive relationships. However, your negative feelings about yourself cause you to bleed all over others. It would be best if you did not lose hope; you can change your life with my help. You can cultivate; a sense of genuine love and well-being for yourself and others. You no longer have to be bound to feelings of hatred and bitterness.

For lasting change to occur in your life, you must first be honest about your weaknesses and shortcomings. Then you can deal with the issues you have with others. Finally, if you desire the transformation of your heart and attitude to change toward others, you must be willing to let my grace act on your thoughts and being.

The reoccurring thoughts you focus on most in your head will become your destiny. Remember, you seldom take any action without first thinking about it. Your behavior is a direct result of the thoughts you feel about yourself and others. The apostle Paul wrote for his life to change; he had to change his way of thinking in exchange for my way of thinking about life.

He wrote that renewing his mind was a process of letting go of self-centered thoughts and learning how to focus on heavenly ones. I encourage you to meditate on the fruit of my spirit: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. When you meditate, don’t view them as separate “fruits” you need at specific times. Instead, view them as the one “fruit” of my spirit living through you moment by moment, revealing my nature and character.

As you pay attention to your thoughts and focus on my nature, you will begin to experience my unconditional love for you. What you focus your thoughts on, your heart will become. As my passion stirs your heart, you will wish for others around you to experience that same love. You will desire for your family and friends to be free from their suffering and the pain they deal with too.

As you concentrate and meditate on my character, you will discover you can release your negative feelings toward others. It starts as you begin to give thanks for how I have forgiven you. Then, as you pray for yourself, pray a prayer of blessing others.

The more you reflect and study the Scriptures, they will become living words of hope for you. As you meditate on my nature, the grace of my resurrected power will become a part of your life and character. You can trust through the power of prayer and meditating upon my word; that you will become a kinder and gentler person to be around. (Meditation: Just Do It)

You will grow to love yourself and others through my sanctifying grace and love properly. It’s a daily struggle, but meditating upon my word is a straightforward and natural way of positive change. It is the action of removing yourself from standing in the way and letting me do the work for you. With the power of my spirit, you can win the battle. (My Self-Dominated Mind)

There will always be the person who gets in the way and causes you grief while doing life. The promise is you can, again and again, release and let annoying people go. As I taught, daily learn to pray to forgive our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. You will discover what it truly means to be Christ-like in your life.

I want to encourage you as you forgive yourself and others; your attitude toward how you treat yourself and others has the power to transform the world around you. Remember, I do not want you to lose hope; you can change your life with my help.

Scripture:

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 NIV

But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things, there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 NIV
