About Mindful Christianity Today

Humanity is bombarded daily with news ranging from the tantalizing to the terrifying. Hope for the future is vanishing with fear and anxiety increasing. Suffering and depression are pushing people over the precipice toward suicide. There is a sense of powerlessness and disenchantment to change anything for good in the world. In a polluted world, the mind is still the number one pollution problem.

The purpose of this site is to help bring rest and peace to your mind and soul. There is a war raging on the outside as well as on the inside of us. The Christian message of love and peace lost in a war of swirling thoughts in our heads. The need of humanity is the ability to quiet the mind in the trauma of our existence and being.

Mindful Christianity is the practice of learning to live in the fullness of the moment. It is learning to let go of the past and turn loose of the future and live in the present. The source of hope is the awareness the resurrected Christ dwells in our hearts and lives in us every moment.

My goal is to awaken you moment by moment in the presence of a loving God. In the noise and activity of life, there is a way of finding inner peace and contentment. There is a way of living fully alive in love with God and your fellow man. It is a journey of being brutally honest in your humanity and alive to God in your soul and spirit. It is a journey of being wide awake in the abundance of God.

It is far more than just finding an answer for the meaning of life, but the ability to wholly experience life. Joseph Campbell expresses it beautifully, “People say what we are seeking is a meaning for life. I don’t think that is what we’re seeking. I think what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive so that we feel the rapture of being alive.

Mindful Christianity is the spiritual discipline of paying attention on purpose with the intention of being acutely aware of experiencing Christ’s presence in our heart moment by moment.
