When You Say Lord

Lord is an ever-growing expression of your relationship with me. The jaw-dropping power of the resurrection provides meaning and inner stability in your life. I want you to experience my all-encompassing love as you surrender your life and destiny into my hands. In the surrender of your will, your life shines as a reflection of my reign and countenance.

I want you to experience beyond head knowledge; an intimacy you sense in the depth of your heart of being held safe and secure in my arms. I pray there is an awakening to the reality of my eternal glory and personhood. I am inviting you to know me as Lord of your true self, and I am guiding you step by step in that process. So, when you call me Lord, it speaks of a personal relationship where you are confident, I will lead and sustain you through every twist and turn in life. (I Am Waiting for You)

I know you trust that I am with you through the turbulent storms of life, and there is an eternal-unfolding plan for you. My sincere hope is you move past the feeling that you are talking in a one-way conversation with me. I want you to grow in communion with me as we walk together and develop in the knowledge of who I am. In that knowledge, you and all creation recognize you live in unity with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through my love and forgiveness.

When you say and whisper Lord, thank you for it acknowledges our relationship and is the cherished name spoken throughout eternity to my heart.

Scripture:

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:4-5 NIV

yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. I Corinthians 8:6 NIV
