The Grip of Fear

We are always searching for an answer to give us a feeling of security in a chaotic and transitory world. We unwittingly seek moment after moment to be safe from any danger that might come our way. We’re looking for freedom from fear in every realm of our life. It includes losing our jobs, loss of relationships, and the deaths of those we love. Also, there is the eternal fear of being separated and cut off from God.

Struggling for security in an ever-changing world guarantees continual anxiety concerning our lives. However, when we surrender our wills and lives over to the care of Christ, an indescribable peace comforts our souls. When we give up our independence, a friendship with God ensues, and the perfect love of God casts out and overcomes our fear. (Do Not Be Afraid)

The risen Christ reassures us there is no longer any need to live in fear because the Holy Spirit is living with us every moment of our lives.

Scripture:

“…and be sure of this—that I am with you always, even to the end of the world.” Mathew 28.20 TLB

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.” Isaiah 41:10″ NIV

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 NIV
