I am Here

Lord, I offer myself to you. However, honestly, that is not my first desire. My ego would rather flee from your presence. My prayer is to help me see you and convince my heart to seek you to spend time alone with you. Let me dwell in the goodness of your love. Let me hide in the shelter of your love as I acknowledge my struggles and shortcomings.

I am now present here. My eyes see beyond my flesh, and your spirit pulses through my veins, and I am keenly aware of your presence. Fear and anxiety now give way to hope and peace. I cast my worries and cares aside. My breath is your breath; your life is my life; your spirit bears witness with my spirit. I live because you live. I live and move, and I sense that I am one with you and all Creation. I am present in you, and you are present in me. (Praying the Breath of God)

I embrace your loving-kindness and forgiveness, so my heart and spirit are free from all who have hurt me. I pray for your love to touch those I have wronged. I come to you today for you are here as always, but today I am here too. Thank you for never leaving me or forsaking me when I run away.

I am Here. And I am grateful.

Scripture:

that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. John 17:21
