Jesus in Mathew 6:34 wants to encourage us, “Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” (NLT) We need to contemplate how to live in the present now of today because there is no tomorrow in real time. Everything beyond the present moment exists as an illusion we create in our mind. Time lives in the present moment, and Jesus is teaching us don’t let the cares and worries of a future that in all probability won’t happen rob us of our joy today.

When worry starts to swallow you alive my word to you is let go of your nervousness and let the light of my presence fill your heart. Be patient and over and over again release those thoughts casting every care upon my shoulders. Relax and center in my being, trust me not only for the future but the ongoing headaches you are encountering today. I am with you, will lead you and walk with you through every danger and apprehension. I am the Lord God who is there every step of the way. Keep your mind on the present adventure ahead and rest in confident assurance I am everything you need and want now and forever.
