Everyone is prone to making stupid mistakes. When you commit an epic blunder, it’s as if you audibly talk to yourself. You tell yourself I’m crazy, and it descends quickly into calling yourself hurtful names. You repeatedly berate yourself; you should’ve known better not to make that foolish decision. You toss it around in your head and think, if I had made the call earlier, nothing would’ve happened. (You are Your Own Worst Enemy)

Instead of rehearsing over and over what you did wrong in your mind, turn it over to Me and forgive yourself. So often, you never hurt anyone but yourself. Listen to My voice to hear the encouragement that I love you and that I can restore and renew everything. (You are my Child)

I hope you understand, just as Peter discovered; I am the one who can deliver you when you start to sink into the sea of hopelessness and despair. So don’t let your failures overwhelm you. Trust Me, and let Me help you move beyond your painful experience.

Don’t let your mistakes and failures define you. I called you out of the darkness into My marvelous light. I will destroy the power of the enemy’s daggers to your heart and free your mind to win the victory. The stupid mistakes you make will not defeat you.

Scripture:

Peter said to him, “Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.” Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly, I say to you, the rooster will not crow till you have denied me three times. John 13:37-38 ESV
