With your tears streaming down your face that could fill an ocean, come to me with your shattered hope and broken dreams for your marriage. I know you are heartbroken like the unrecognizable mosaics discovered on the floor underneath what once was a stained-glass treasure. You wonder if there is any hope for putting your life back together again. All you have left are the memories of what could have been in your life and marriage. (We are all Broken, and That’s All Right)

I know there are many questions without any satisfactory answers as to why me? You think death may have been more natural to handle because at least it would’ve been final. Instead, there is an open wound of rejection and a sense of abandonment and failure. I encourage you to acknowledge your loss and the intense pain of your suffering. I want you to know you can recover, and with time love can blossom again. (Break Open and Blossom in Life)

You will never be the same person, but the power of my transforming love and hope can transform your pain into something healthier and more beautiful. Use your pain to grow and invest your passion in loving your family and others around you. Then, give yourself plenty of time to heal. It may take years to work through your anger, guilt, and profound grief, but it will be worth it.

Cry out to me, and know I will never forsake you. Don’t ever believe I’m unwilling to forgive you or that I could never love you for what you’ve been through or what you have done.

I encourage you to find a friend or counselor who can help you work on forgiving yourself and your spouse. Let my love teach you and help you deal with your inadequacies and shortcomings so that you may grow to love again. The last thing you want to do is carry your negative emotions and feelings into a new relationship.

Let my love empower you never to give up so that you may find the strength to move ahead in all your relationships. Seek me with your whole heart and let my love heal those broken places in your life. Remember, I am in the resurrection business of bringing shattered hopes and dreams back to life again.

Scriptures:

and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” Psalm 50:15 NIV

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:12-13 NIV

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:12-13 NIV
