Jesus in Mathew 6:34 wants to encourage us, “Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” (NLT) We need to contemplate how to live in the present now of today because there is no tomorrow in real-time. Everything beyond the present moment exists as an illusion we create in our minds. Time exists only in the present moment. Jesus teaches us not to let the cares and worries about the future that in all probability won’t happen rob us of our joy today. (Do not let Your Hearts Be Troubled)

When worry starts to swallow you alive, my word to you is to let go of your fears and let my loving presence capture your heart. Be patient and over and over again release those thoughts casting every care upon my shoulders. Relax and center in my being, trust me not only for the future but the ongoing headaches you are encountering today. I am with you, will lead you and walk with you through every danger and apprehension. I am the Lord God, who is there every step of the way. Keep your mind on the present adventure ahead and rest in the confident assurance I am everything you need and want now and forever.

Scripture:

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, so that in due time He may exalt you. Cast all your cares upon Him, because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
